Open Letter To Mr. Mueller

I respect what you have done in your life but I must tell you that your remarks , 9 minutes, on May 29 about the Special Counsel's report leaves me befuddled.

This is not a game we are playing or some law school exercise.  We've read the report as have many others and are left with varying opinions, e,g, AG Barr, among others. What we need from you is the conclusions you have reached in plain English, not couched in lawyer speak.

Did the Trump campaign collude - not conspire- collude with Russia in interfering with our election of 2016? If you can't say one way or the other definitively  explain why you can't. Name the person(s) who obstructed you from reaching that conclusion. If we have a corrupt President who is being supported by corrupt abettors we as a nation are in dire danger. We need you to step up and be the hero you can be just by speaking truth to power which is not happening now because the report and your quick speech is couched in so much lawyerese.

By the way, just to be clear, you are not the one who decides if you will testify to Congress, they are the ones who have that authority and if they call you you must respond to it by appearing just like any other citizen must, of course classified material must be disclosed behind closed doors. You are not more special than any of us "plain" citizens, if called you must respond affirmatively.

Remember this is not a game where some allegiance to a department or group like "the blue wall of silence" is applicable.  The fate of our nation could be in your hands. Step up and do the right thing. Speak Plainly!

                                     Respectively yours,

Gloria Bell The Movie That Exams The Problems of Being Divorced and Looking For Romance

This flick stars Julianne Moore and John Turturro two of my favorite actors. Everything I've seen them in was good because they made even good scripts better by bringing truthfulness to their roles.
However right after I viewed this production I was sure I didn't like it at all. The movie dealt with divorced couples who were at different stages of their lives and the dialogue seemed very disjointed as though they were adlibbing. The scenes seemed a little out of joint also.

However after I came home I reflected on what I saw and came to realize that the critics that liked this picture were correct in their assessment that this was a well acted excellent production I just missed the point of the whole thing.

After spending years in what might have been a good marriage or even a tolerable one being divorced causes a great shock to the system. Suddenly one's family becomes disjointed and the divorced are alone so to speak. But the baggage they bring with them is a heavy load.  The children never really let go and no matter how old or young try to enforce their will on their parents. Daughters especially never want to let go and try to impose their will on their parents.

The two stars of course meet and hook up and have great sex and seem to full a void in each one's life. However in this case Turturro's character is the weakest and he succumbs to his daughter's will and despite his profession of love he just can't cut the chord. Moore's character is kind of flaky but seems willing to give up her family for his love but not really 100% as a scene with her family at her son's birthday party shows her excluding John's character while she and her family reminisce about when they were a family in love.

The movie speaks truth to power in many ways especially to the fact it is very difficult, perhaps impossible in some cases, to be truly happy after divorce. Maybe Frank Sinatra"s song, "Love Is Better The second Time around" isn't always, maybe almost never true.

The first time around love comes without baggage or a great deal less than the second time around which makes it a lot easier to handle life and love. If you get a chance see this flick. It'll get you thinking.

Would You Vote For This Person?

Born into a privileged family which was built on stealing from the poor to give to the rich. While growing up this person was privileged by by the family buying their way into prestigious schools through deep pockets contributions and this person barely hung on through academics, just barely.

This person avoided the draft into the armed services by having false medical conditions getting medical deferments yet despite that issued criticisms of those who served heroically. Always avoiding any circumstances whereby jeopardy might have to be faced.

Living a privileged life led to a family inheritance of many millions which was used to start a business that was run like a mafia operation yet this person always found people ready to do his dastardly deeds leaving the one ordering it all unaccountable.

Finally this person ran for President of these United States but never won because this person spouted venom and hate while making profits from campaigning. The American people couldn't vote for someone like that. Could you?

This Is For You Sarita

"The Twelfth Of Never"

You ask how much I need you, must I explain?
I need you, oh my darling, like roses need rain.
You ask how long I'll love you; I'll tell you true:
Until the twelfth of never, I'll still be loving you.

Hold me close, never let me go.
Hold me close, melt my heart like April snow.

I'll love you till the bluebells forget to bloom;
I'll love you till the clover has lost its perfume.
I'll love you till the poets run out of rhyme,
Until the twelfth of never and that's a long, long time.

Hold me close, never let me go.
Hold me close, melt my heart like April snow.

I'll love you till the bluebells forget to bloom;
I'll love you till the clover has lost its perfume.
I'll love you till the poets run out of rhyme,
Until the twelfth of never and that's a long, long time.

Until the twelfth of never and that's a long, long time.

Donald Trump Alias Harold Hill The Music Man

The Music Man is a Broadway musical later made into a movies about a con man who poses as a boys' band organizer to Midwestern rubes so that he can sell musical instruments to them convincing them he can train their kids to become good marching band musicians. The thing is he doesn't know a thing about music so he cons them into believing their children are talented so he can sell them instruments making a big profit , planning to leave as soon as he can after pocketing their money leaving their children with instruments they can't use.

Of course the musical ends on a good note because this is fiction. The problem with us living in the year 2019 we have Donald Trump, a real life con man who has conned a good portion of the United States electorate to vote him into office two years ago selling them, not instruments, but that they were living in a broken society that only he could fix. He bragged he knew more than Generals, Intelligence career men,  and foreign adversaries as well as foreign allies and of course all the politicians that ever lived including Presidents and scholars. He alluded as though it was a fact that all were dishonest, except him of course. Yes he was selling musical instruments to those who wanted to play the tune that he was singing except his plan was to have them dance to the tune while he played the songs and reaped in the profits.

It should be clear to anyone who follows USA politics that Donald Trump and his family are conning everyone except perhaps a fellow named Putin because the people who want to get to him stay in his hotels, golf clubs, and the such so that he reaps in the profits from these adventures while he lies constantly while he criticizes his intelligence officers many of which he has appointed, while still proclaiming he knows more than his Generals as he continues to play footsies with some very dangerous adversaries at the same time he seems to be wrecking alliances.

The Music Man ended on a very good note because as I mentioned previously it was fiction. I fear that reality will set in on us in the USA and the ending will not be on a good note but rather it will end discordantly except for the Trumps who will be richer and we citizens will be poorer and not a bit wiser. God Help Us!

America The Beautiful

I believe that I am one of the fortunate people who just happened to be born in this great country, The United States of America. Because without really knowing what they were proposing our founding fathers were being guided by a spirit of love far greater than they could have imagined. Consider the fact that they really didn't believe "ALL" men were created equal since it didn't included those who didn't own land or property of any kind, it certainly didn't include women or anything else that was considered property including slaves. But those words which are inspired by a greater power than those of the brains of the founding fathers really did include everyone, men, women, children and if all had these rights then we couldn't own any other human being. The whole of humanity had these rights. And I might add along with these rights came the obligation to extend them with kindness to the animals, the environment and not just for profit but for the good of this planet.
Not only are we guided by this greater power for us but we must extend the opportunity to live these rights to all others, to be the example of love, kindness and the acceptance of the fact that we are all related somehow DNA related but even more than that, spiritually related. We didn't start out this way but we are being guided to this fact that The United States of America has to be a haven for what is right, just and good not only for us citizens but for the oppressed of the world.
The American way of life, liberty and justice for all must continue to grow until the full truth of this idea is realized and extended to all. Perhaps some day the whole earth will have this notion and there will truly be peace on earth. Until it is fully realized we must keep the spirit alive, this greater spirit who wants all men, all humans to be happy.

It's Better To Love and Leave when It's Over

Image result for love them and leave them
Say what you will about loving and leaving it is far better to do that and have the memories than to just get up drag yourself through the day and go to bed unfulfilled.
Image result for infatuation ended

The bottom of this blog lists a great song that says it all. AMEN!
Image result for infatuation just one of those things silhouettes

Just One of Those Things
It was just one of those things
Just one of those crazy flings
One of those bells that now and then rings
Just one of those things
It was just one of those nights
Just one of those fabulous flights
A trip to the moon on gossamer wings
Just one of those things
If we'd thought of it 'bout the end of it
When we started painting the town
We'd have been aware that our love affair
Was too hot not to cool down
So goodbye, dear, and Amen
Here's hoping we'll meet now and then
It was great fun
But it was just one of those things
Just one of those bells that now and then rings
Just one of those things
A trip to the moon on gossamer wings
Just one of those things
