Trump & Republican Governors Opt For Herd Immunity

I wrote a Blog telling my readers that Trump was opting for Herd immunity as his solution to the pandemic. Ed Adler posted on CNN posted an Opinion column saying the same thing but in much more detail. If you care to look it up many have joined the chorus in saying Trump and his allies really prefer this type of cure as long as it doesn't affect them which raises the question "WHY"?.

The idea is a great deal of the population is not going to die from Covid-19 and the 30% or so that will be affected badly many will die from this virus are not strong contributors to the economic health of the country and will die shortly anyway so why should the strong spend their wealth on the week and elderly who are only a drain on the country in many ways.

Just a few ways to show that this is their mentality is the very fact that the Trump campaign is having those who are coming to the planned campaign rally sign a waiver saying they will not sue or hold Trump responsible if they get ill. 

One other example. Florida is spiking after opening before the figures suggested by the CDC were reaching the prescribed levels. The Governor answered by denying the spike, firing the person in charge of certain figures proving a spike,  and then fudged the figures. He knows this is dangerous but only the old and those with underlying conditions will die in numbers so who cares?

One other thing. Fools like Trump, Spence and many Republican Governors attend gatherings without wearing masks and they never seem to get sick. Why? Shouldn't somebody get affected? I wonder what they have that protects them because social distancing, wearing masks doesn't they refuse to wear them. They say they get tested regularly but testing is not prevention. What is their secret? I wonder. In March of this year some staff members of Trump and Spence were reported as testing positive yet with all these disregards of Masks etc. we haven't heard of anyone testing positive or falling ill. 

Come on reporters of our Free Press do some digging and reporting much is "UP" in suppressing numbers and facts find them out and report it all without biases, just the facts that's all, JUST THE FACTS.

Trump Dictator In Waiting!

Many pundits are openly confused about Trump's position about opening the country while in the middle of one of the worst pandemics this country has ever faced.

He's concerned about the economy tanking more than the health advisors  claims that a premature opening would cause a greater health crisis. The health care system would collapse and many would needlessly die.

It seems obvious that Trump doesn't care for in his mind the deaths would weed out those who are physically weakest and others who are imprisoned. It gets rid of the drain on the economy such as the residents in nursing homes who are the oldest and weakest and all those on medicaid as well as those in jails and are convicted felons. The weakest, most draining of the country's wealth would be removed leaving the youngest, strongest, most productive to help produce greater wealth.  The herd immunity concept for in his mind they were going to die soon anyway.

That's the plan, Trump would be re-elected taking full control of the country dipping into the honey pot because if things are going so well isn't he entitled to a taste? Then he could manipulate the laws along with his Roy Cohen's help, to stay in office until death perhaps passing the throne to one of his idiot kids.

The Trump supporters might wake up too late to stop this but then many of them would be dipping into the honey pot also leaving the country to die never fulfilling it's promise of "Life, Liberty and Justice For all"!

Thoughts About Growing Old(er)

When I was pre teen years I wanted to get into the teens as quickly as possible. In my generation the thought was to get freedom, from most of all mom and dad. This drive only became stronger when we became teenagers. Then almost suddenly by the time we were 18 or so we found that mom and dad let us go, that is as long as we didn't do anything that brought shame to our family. We got jobs, met young ladies, went into the armed services through the draft and married when we got out. Imagine, by the time a guy was 22 or 23 and the gal was 19 or 20 they were on their own, with some help from mom and dad but for the most part they had to be the masters of their own ship and the crew members were 3, 4 or 7 or 12 kids. It took a little over 2 decades or a little less than 2 decades and we were sailing our own ships just like mom and dad and all our relatives. Yep that's right we were grown up.

Then our kids grew up just as fast and lived their own lives and suddenly we were grandparents then we got older and one of us succumbed to the pains of living a long life and now one was left to grow old (er) by themselves. For me the best time of my life wasn't only one era but many. The joys of playing the trumpet, the experience of my wife and me kissing for the first time, our chikldren being born healthy and growing up being a pain in the ass just like I was to my mom (never my dad he just seemed confused by me). Or a solitude moment when I was walking guard duty in Georgia, 3rd. Infantry Division, Fort Benning and I took a moment and stopped in my tracks and looked up at the clear night sky and saw all the stars bright against the night's sky, just beautiful. Being a New Yorker I don't think I ever saw such nighttime beauty like that and I'll never forget it.

Now that I am getting real old I am not sure how it'll all end but reflecting back it was a great ride. I do regret that no one really sees the guy who lives inside of me anymore all they see is this guy who walks slower, a little bent over who still likes the beauty of a woman, a good steak and a good shot of Scotch. Looking in the mirror that's all I see so I try not to look in mirrors unless I have to instead I just close my eyes and remember, remember that beautiful gal who loved me and I loved her and the wonderful life we had even though it had rough spots but then that's what made the smooth spots that much smoother. By the way I wouldn't want to end this thoughtful essay without giving a shout out to my God, Father, Jesus and The Holy Spirit and my Guardian Angel and Patron Saints without whom I could have never got this far, the details of which could be the subject of a good movie.

    

Trump More Dangerous Than Corona Virus

The man lies and uses this situation for his own benefit. First of all it isn't true as he says that this situation is the first time we as a nation has seen anything like it and was totally unprepared for it. We had all things set up for it in departments which were prepared with plans and competent people that Trump dismantled. Why? Because as he himself said he could take care of it all inferring he's so smart that he knows more than the Generals or even the health care people.

He was cautioned not to have rally's while social distancing is a must so he uses the daily briefing to propagate lies twisting the truth and letting everyone know that they must say nice things about him or they will be treated badly, like saying he will not call Governors that say what he calls "nasty" things about him when in all truth all they say is they need help and until recently his help dragged and in many cases still does.

As a nation we are in deep trouble because of this virus  which is exacerbated by Trump's action or lies as he continues to try and make this about him, stealing as much as he can in good will or what have you even if it hurts the Nation's recovery just as long as it helps him stay in power so he can satisfy his greed.

Here's hoping and praying, yes praying for prayer is powerful and maybe the only thing that will overcome this evil,  that God or whatever you may call the power of Good, will help us and the rest of the world to overcome the evil that wants to consume all of us. I think, I know Good will triumph no matter what evil is here .

How About Loving Thy Neighbor As Thyself

Will the Corona Virus cause a recession in the sales of condoms? Will it affect one night stands? Or will it only cause the rise in soap sales? Washing one's hands after touching the inside and outside of the most intimate parts of the human body!!! Just asking since I was pondering the important questions affecting the human race!!!

Some of my best friends whom I know for over 70 or 80 years and some a little less believe everything Trump and Fox News says about the latest illness or political question or financial reason why Trump isn't a crook.  These people voted for him and will continue to vote for him. They are well educated and for the most part lives an intelligent and respectful life. Yet they just don't care how immoral he is and that's a conclusion just based on Trump's own words as to how many times he committed adultery, touch women  where they certainly didn't want to be touched and violated the dressing rooms of naked young ladies and bragged about all this. Also he is not shy in letting people know he is raking in millions just by having people who want favor stay and pay at his hotels and country clubs while his children run his business making deals that will mean millions in the future as his daughter just did in getting Copyrights from China yet his supporters don't care that he and his family does all this. How the hell can this happen right before our eyes and these very intelligent and perceptive people not see it all?

Our moral leaders are supposed to be found in our religions Christianity, Judaism, all the isms yet we find when push comes to shove many of them are immoral in many ways which include sex, money and the degrading of women. Women are burned alive in India for not bearing children or so it is said but they are abused and degraded for whatever reason and the religious leaders in countries where this is allowed don't do a damn thing about it gibing tacit approval to these practices. A women is stoned for having sex with a married man but nothing is done to him except maybe a wink and nod because he got his. Maybe he should be stoned! Of course I don't mean that all I mean is how can we have a moral compass when the compass is broken our religious leaders, many of them maybe most of them, are false leaders who want to have us do what they say as we tithe while they lives rich lives and do whatever they want to do.

There will be peace when love is driving force of our existence not greed, lust and judgmental laws that favor the powerful that keep the poor and weak on their knees so that those in power can become more powerful and rich. It's not rocket science, "Love your neighbor as you love yourself" aint a crazy thought for if we want the best for everyone, including ourselves we would all be at peace for there would be nothing to go to war about.   

Come On Joe Biden Do the right THING!

I believe the case presented by the Democrats proves that Trump did what they say he did and should lead to his removal. But it seems the political process is different than saying mere proof is what one needs for this more is needed.

One of the things holding up everything is meeting the requirements of getting witnesses. The Dems want four headed by Bolton, the GOP want at least 2 Hunter & Joe Biden. I don't see why the Bidens cant go before this impeachment trail especially if they didn't do anything crooked which by the way I don't believe they did. What's the worse that could happen? Maybe Joe Biden won't be able to run for President in November 2020. SO WHAT? I think any Dem nominee can beat Trump, Biden isn't the Messiah and he's had enough success in his life so what's the difference if he can't run especially if by not running he saves this country's constitution.

So I propose that before this day is done the Biden's volunteer appearing before this proceeding but only after Bolton does along with one or two other Dem requests.

Now if that happens then I will believe the Dems led by Joe Biden are really as sanctimonious as they say they are and before their own political considerations come the considerations of the good old USA!

When Is The Relationship Over?

How does one get a person in a relationship to finally admit the relationship is over?
It's not over because one is bored , mad or even cheating it's over because it died a natural death.

It was born of a natural attraction in all ways. Enjoying each other's company at all times including hot, wet delicious sex. Sharing dreams that they knew couldn't actually happen, actually more "wishes" than "hopes".The joy of living was experienced whenever they were together.

This experience was lost a little at a time, bit by bit, until all they had, all that made them a couple was gone. However, they acted as if nothing had changed pushing the reality of it to the back of their consciousness subconsciously thinking if they wouldn't recognize what was happening then it didn't happen. But of course it did happen, their relationship was over.

They never touched, not even as little as hand holding and embracing was anathema. Future plans were discussed in the singular never as a couple. There was no "we" only "I" in any plans future or present.

The time had come for a reality check in order to stop living a lie , to get on with their lives which meant drifting apart recognizing that their journey as lovers was over and at the most they were friends, lovers no more. Divergent paths had to be taken if they were to reach fulfillment in their lives.

The question is how? How to do this thing without destroying what was beautiful, how to cherish the memories recognizing their relationship helped them be who they had become and now it was time to move on.
