It was around September in the year 1952 when I saw my first play. "Guys And Dolls" which starred Robert Alder as Sky Masterson who listens to Sister Sarah Day sing the way she feels about falling in love. I was on a date with a very pretty girl named Dolores Hertel and I could feel the vibes going through me because I was falling in love. But as fate had it she was going out with a sailor who was at sea and really had no time for me.
However a few years later I met a very pretty Latina, Puerto Ricana named Sarita and soon I was her Sky and she was Sister Sarah and we sang it together in spirit as we fell madly in love and it lasted 50 years. Think of it madly in love in sickness and health in sexiness and not so sexy moments. We had it all and that song, that duet, became replaced because Sarita was my last love between a guy and a girl and it was replaced by "When I Fall In Love" which says it'll be forever and it is forever, through all eternity as far as I am concerned.
By the way Robert Alder is the father of Alan Alder. AND The lyrics of that song follows in case you're interested.
When I fall in love
it will be forever
or I'll never fall in love.
or I'll never fall in love.
In a restless world
like this is
love is ended before its begun
and too many moonlight kisses
seem to cool in the warmth of the sun.
like this is
love is ended before its begun
and too many moonlight kisses
seem to cool in the warmth of the sun.
When I give my heart
it will be completely
or I'll never give my heart (oo let me give my heart)
it will be completely
or I'll never give my heart (oo let me give my heart)
